Taste of Fethiye project signed over to local stakeholder

Wednesday 26th October 2016 marked the official handover of the five-year Taste of Fethiye project from The Travel Foundation to FETAV – Fethiye’s tourism, promotion, environment and cultural NGO.

An event held at Fethiye’s Yacht Boutique Hotel marked the official handover of the Taste of Fethiye project from the Travel Foundation to Fethiye’s cultural NGO, FETAV.

This project is of particular importance to farmers and hoteliers in the area and is one that has the potential to become a sustainable model for tourism in destinations across Turkey – and even globally.

FETAV are planning to broaden the Taste of Fethiye brand with dried fruits and traditional locally made products like pekmez, nar ekşisi and tarhana, and to continue organising craft fairs in Kaya Village.
