The Fethiye Municipality, is the latest partner to join the Blue Wave project, an initiative focused on sustainable tourism in the coastal region of Fethiye. The Municipality signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the 20th April and will be working in partnership alongside the Chamber of Shipping, TURMEPA, and D-Marin and the Travel Foundation to embed sustainable boating practices alongside greener marina management and coastal environment protection.

Fethiye Municipality operates three marinas which mainly host commercial vehicles such as daily tour boats and blue cruise gullets in Fethiye and Göcek. The Municipality is also responsible for managing all the waste and recycling facilities in the district.

Having the formal support from local government is a huge boost to the project and we are delighted to be working with them as the project builds pace.
