Very little is known about tourism’s impacts, what they are and how to manage them effectively to maximise benefits for destination communities. We design and conduct bespoke research projects to bridge this gap, often devising new methodologies along the way. Research is a vital part of our destination projects, where an evidence-based approach enables us to identify and improve the real impacts of tourism. We are looking for partners to fund ground-breaking, new research, find out how you can get involved.
Our most recent major research is Destinations at Risk: Tourism’s Invisible Burden commissioned by the Travel Foundation and co-published with Cornell University’s Centre for Sustainable Global Enterprise and EplerWood International.
