Rainbow Tours offers tailor-made trips to Africa and the Indian Ocean, featuring distinctive, owner-run establishments where you will find a genuine welcome and fine accommodation in a beautiful setting; and unusual and interesting destinations. Although they feature and publicise environment and community-friendly lodges in most of their destinations, they are actively involved with sustainable projects principally in Madagascar and South Africa.
Rainforest Concern was established to protect threatened natural habitats, particularly rainforests and the biodiversity they contain, together with the indigenous people who still depend on them for their survival. Ecotourism plays an important part in many of their projects - notably as a sustainable development alternative to slash and burn agriculture for communities who have moved into rainforest areas.
The Responsible Tourism Partnership is a not-for-profit making company that works in partnerships to improve destinations for local people and their visitors. They bring together tourism businesses in originating markets and destinations to work with local communities and national and local government to create better places for local communities to live in and for tourists to visit. They use multi-stakeholder processes to engage local communities, tourism businesses and government in securing change.
