Sustainable travel means making sure local people benefit economically from the tourism to their home, as well as protecting and preserving the environments we holiday in.
Not only should inbound tourism bring new jobs and demand for locally produced products and services; it must also invite and encourage ways of keeping local culture and traditions alive.
Much of our work focuses on establishing and nurturing links between the tourism industry and destination communities:
- developing linkages for the purchase of local products and services
- development of sustainable excursions with a genuine flavour of the country
- training and support for local communities to help them deliver high quality tourism services
