As the number of tourists visiting Turkey increases, so do the potential number of employment opportunites. In order to give local people the opportunity to benefit from some of the highest paid jobs in the sector, together with Thomas Cook we sponsored five students to study a tourism degree at Mugla University. The students graduated in June 2011.
Thanks to our scholarship programme, Hulya has high hopes for the future since studying for her degree in tourism. With new aspirations to study further for a master’s degree, Hulya has become an inspiration to her sisters - and thanks to the work experience through her course, she is now one step closer to creating a secure future.
