Overview
In this session aims to equip participants with the skills to provide their guests with an enjoyable and sustainable whale shark experience. It also has a group activity. It includes information on:
- Guest briefings and content
- Codes of conduct
- Guidelines for whale shark encounters
Upon completion of this training module...
At the end of this session participants should take the quiz, downloadable from the left hand side. Once participants have taken the quiz, the certificate is available from the feedback section.
TO RUN THIS SESSION...
You will need a laptop, projector and masking tape.
You may also find it useful to display the 'Communicate with your customers' poster during this session, as well as the boat sticker (both downloadable from the homepage).
Download the presentation and reference notes. The facilitator should read through the notes prior to the session. As the codes of conduct form such an important part of conducting sustainable Whale Shark tours, you may like to give a copy of the boat sticker to each guide.
