Whale Shark Guide Training Manual...for snorkelling tours.
This manual aims to provide comprehensive theoretical training, and has been designed to be taught in a classroom situation. It has been developed in conjunction with the Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme (MWSRP), and Ecocolors.
We recommend that you work through each of the six sections in the following order: introduction, biology and ecology, research, conservation, guiding and finally feedback.
In each section you will find a training presentation and trainer reference notes. In some sections there are group activities that are designed to aid learning.
The training presentations and reference notes are also available in Spanish.
