Faucet aerators
Faucets aerators are a particularly efficient way of saving water, and they are simple to install. They fit directly on to the faucet.
The flow from faucets should be a maximum of 6 litres per minute, but is often found to be around 10 - 15 litres per minute.
Cost and payback period:
Faucet aerators typically cost around 4 euros, and a payback period can be achieved in just two months...and have the potential to save 1.8 million litres of water! (using the example of a typical 100 room hotel).
They work by mixing air into the flow of the water, which reduces the overall output.
