Asya also provides consultancy services to touristic facilities for obtaining certificates from national and international responsible tourism programs.

Barbara Neeb-Bruckner
Barbara Neeb-Bruckner gained a first class degree in Mathematics (Dipl-Math). After many years of experience as a software developer, she worked as a change and quality management project leader and senior consultant in different industry sectors (Telecommunications, Airlines, Finance, Automotive) and in different countries (Germany, China, Denmark, Switzerland). In 2009 she got her second degree in Sustainable Tourism Management (M.A.) at the Eberswalde University of Applied Sciences in Germany. As part of the program she did a 6 month internship at Buffalo Tours, a Hanoi (Vietnam) based tour operator who won the PATA “Face of the Future Award”. The title of Barbara’s master thesis was “Applying ‘CMMI for Services’ to the tourism industry” with the subtitle “CMMI – a facilitator for sustainable tourism services?”. She also contributed to the book “Guidelines for Superior Service” with the essay “CMMI and Corporate Social Responsibility”.

Bilgehan Ererdem
With a masters in Tourism Destination Management from the University of Breda Applied Sciences, The Netherlands, Ererdem’s specialties are Tourism Destination Management, Tourism Planning, Destination Analysis, Total Quality Management, Tourism Research (Qualitative and Quantitative), Destination Branding, Finance, Accounting and International Project Management. Ererdem is a tourism consultant who works for public and private companies as well as NGOs.

Ester Kruk has over twelve years of professional experience in responsible tourism development in Europe, Asia and America. She has a degree in International Tourism Management and Consultancy and well as Cultural Anthropology. She worked as tourism expert, advisor, and coordinator for different international organizations, including ICIMOD, UNDP, World Bank and SNV Netherlands development organization, as well as for different governmental and non-governmental organizations. She has designed and conducted several tourism workshops, conferences and training programmes, and published a variety of books, manuals and papers on tourism topics.

During this time she also input into the sustainable direction of the Virgin Group, through active involvement with The Group’s sustainability and community investment initiatives and helped drive the sustainability strategy of the UK travel industry, through her position as Vice Chair of ABTA’s Sustainable Tourism Committee. Through this, she was heavily involved in the creation and development of the Travelife Sustainability in Tourism scheme, which has been adopted by major European tour operators and hoteliers worldwide. Rachel holds a Masters Degree in International Tourism Policy from the University of North London and has also spent time in commercial roles with Manos, Panorama and MyTravel Holidays. She has worked in marine research in Jamaica and The Bahamas, ecotourism and conservation in Tanzania and Uganda, and also has third sector experience, working for UK charity Victim Support, where she established and then managed the Witness Service at Inner London Crown Court. -

Helene Mogelhoj is a tourism and economic development professional with over 15 years’ international experience gained in both the private and public sector including:
- Sustainable urban and coastal resort planning, economic development and strategy, including sustainability certification and auditing.
- Market research, analysis and benchmarking.
- Business planning, financial appraisal, evaluation and reviews.
- Programme and project management: able to work to budget and tight timescales throughout the lifecycle from conceptualisation to implementation.
- Public and private sector stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Knowledge transfer network facilitation for the hospitality and environmental sector to stimulate business growth and innovation.
