South Africa

Nature reserves are a big draw for tourists visiting South Africa. Within the Western Cape, there are many reserves with huge untapped tourism potential. With funding cuts impacting on conservation, sustainable income-generation has become more important.

Our aim is to support Cape Nature to develop tourism that generates funds for conservation and brings socio-economic benefits for disadvantaged local communities.

What we’re doing:

We’re working in partnership with Cape Nature to research and create a plan for sustainable tourism development within Nature Reserves.
