They provide a unique, integrated approach to heritage and cultural resource management including specialist support in the historic environment and cultural planning and regeneration. They also deliver consultancy services to the tourism and leisure sectors on a local, national and international level, developing sustainable solutions.
 

 
Magic of The Orient specialise in providing independent travellers with a personal and expert travel service to the Far East: all holidays are tailor-made, unique. When sending out their final itineries they always include a 'sustainable tourism' checklist and advice sheet. They also choose eco friendly ground handlers and hotels as much as possible.
 

 
Many Happy Returns Travel (MHR Travel) is a not-for-profit company based in Southport, Merseyside.They are the first travel company in the UK to be recognised as a 'Community Interest Company' by the Department of Trade and Industry. MHR Travel has a written commitment to the values of sustainable travel, which it supports in a number of ways, including financially. This together with other community support, return 85% of the company profit back to the community.
 

 
Marco Polo Travel Advisory Service is an independent travel agency established in 1989, based in Bristol. They believe that tourism can and does make a positive impact. Wherever possible, they recommend locally owned hotels and not a multinational conglomerate based outside the country. They feel strongly that local communities should benefit from tourism and at the same time ensure that the environment is not harmed. They encourage visitors to any country to mimimise their impact on the local culture and traditions.
 


Matthew Gorman has undertaken a range of work on sustainable tourism, most recently through developing Forum for the Future's partnership with First Choice Holidays. He has since moved to become group sustainability manager at BAA plc.
 


Mouchel Group plc - Mouchel Group plc are a leading consultancy with expertise in sustainability, water, waste, air quality, acoustics, archaeology and ecology. They have worked in locations throughout the world on a variety of projects for tour operators, hotel chains, independent hotel, destinations and local, regional and national governments. Extensive experience in facilitating and developing inter-sectoral relationships has enabled them to help our clients manage their social, environmental and economic impacts in places as diverse as St Vincent and Kazakhstan. They have played major roles in sustainable development in Abu Dhabi (particularly Lulu Island) and the preservation of the extensive wetlands of Boubyan Island (Kuwait).
